About Pareesha Gupta
Pareesha Gupta is a Partner in Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan’s International Trade & WTO practice, with over 14 years of experience advising domestic industries, multinational exporters, and industry associations on Indian and cross-border trade-remedy matters, including anti-dumping, countervailing duty, safeguard measures.
She regularly represents clients before the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR), the Customs, Excise & Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), and appellate courts, and works closely with global counsel in investigations conducted by overseas authorities such as the U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), and other foreign trade authorities.
Pareesha has expertise in technically complex investigations involving multi-PCN product structures, cost-of-production and injury margin analysis, normal value construction, subsidy tracing, and market-distortion/PMS claims. Her work frequently involves detailed data scrutiny across manufacturing sectors including chemicals and petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, insulation and building materials, agro-commodities, and engineering products. She advises on both domestic industry petitions and exporter defence matters, including sunset reviews and administrative reviews, combining legal strategy with hands-on engagement in costing and economic analysis.
She is regularly involved in coordinating multi-jurisdictional strategies with foreign counsel for trade remedial investigations. Clients value her practical, commercially focused approach, and her ability to translate complex technical data into persuasive regulatory advocacy.
She is a Chartered Accountant, Advocate, and a Certified Public Accountant (USA).
