Anurag currently advises various Indian and multi-national companies on tax issues relating to business re-structuring, supply chain, incentives, entry strategies etc.

He has expertise in advising on diverse aspects of Customs law (including Classification, Valuation, Duty Exemption & Deferment, Free Trade Agreements, Export-Import Controls, etc.). He also provides advisory to clients on Foreign Trade Policy, Import & Export Compliances, SEZ related issues and allied laws (Legal Metrology, BIS, WPC, Medical Devices, E-waste, etc.).

He represents clients before various Courts and Departmental Authorities across India, including Tribunals, Customs Commissioners, Authority for Advance Ruling, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Special Valuation Branch, Settlement Commission etc. He is well versed in litigation procedures and has handled several industry-wide tax disputes before various forums.

Anurag has rich experience in assisting clients during investigations by agencies like DRI, SIIB, Customs Preventive, Audit Department etc. by providing handholding and round-the-clock support during investigations. He also provides legal solutions to demand notices arising out of such investigations.

Being associated with LKS since 2013, Anurag is currently part of the Customs practice and has also worked in the Central Excise and Service Tax Litigation teams in the past.
