SEBI has recently introduced provisions for regulating the Indian financial markets. Article in this issue of "Corporate Amicus" discusses these regulations, while also pointing out some problems in SEBI (Alternative Investment Funds) Regulations and the SEBI (Investment Advisors) Regulations. Mutual funds have also been allowed to participate as users in Credit Default Swaps market for eligible securities while Banking mergers may have to face scrutiny of Reserve Bank of India as well as Competition Commission of India. Further, Bombay High Court has held that industrial disputes are not arbitrable.
